I don’t know about you but when I think of Paris I imagine woman with tousled ‘I just had sex’ hair, chic clothing and no make up on. Am I envious? Oui. So, no matter how often I go back to Paris I feel a pressure to nail that sexy, elegant and casual multiple oxymorons outfit.

One of the biggest trends this season is velvet, so I’m approaching it in a subtle way – heeled ankle boots. The outfit is a corset with a top underneath it, not a jumpsuit as my photographer suggested, because layering in winter is as necessary as Malbec on Friday’s.
